About Community Lenses

Your guide to choosing vocabularies.

Community Lenses are domain-specific guides created and maintained by the community to help you choose the right vocabulary for a particular purpose. By partnering with researchers, informaticians and infrastructure providers, the ARDC is exploring an approach to help people answer questions like:

  • How do I know which vocabulary to choose?
  • How do I know if a vocabulary will suit my purpose?
  • Who else uses this vocabulary?

Earth and environmental sciences

The prototype Community Lens for earth and environmental sciences is maintained by the National Earth and Environmental Sciences Facilities Forum (NEESFF). It is created and maintained by members of a research community and provides a domain perspective on information standards.

Explore vocabularies used by Australian earth and environmental science organisations through this Community Lens.
